Incredibly intense and complex. In the nade a great, extremely harmonious composition of prune, leather, coffee notes and glue. On the palate incredibly intense, oily and toasty. Great sweetness. A pleasant bitterness is added on the finish. The alcohol is perfectly integrated. An outstanding Demerara from the 1970s!

18.07.2020 A nice tasting at my friends place including a nice dinner. Notes Very dark in colour. Nose Wood, light roasted, faint chocolate, dried fruit, plum, complex, balanced. Palate Oily, warm, wood, light roasted, light coffee, light chocolate, plum, light medicinal. Finish Long and warm, wood, oily, light roasted, dried fruit, faint chocolate.

A sample collected at the German Rum Festival in 2024. A full, noble, deep and balanced nose (old varnished wood, leather and smoke). One immediately senses that this is an exceptional experience. Wood and smoke share the first palate. The alcohol is perfectly integrated. The aromas then evolve towards dried fruit and prunes, leather and old varnished wood. Despite the woody bitterness, the finish is balanced, powerful and refined. A firework display of flavors and flavors here. An exceptional rum, and its reputation is richly deserved!

Für mich mit das Highlight an diesem Abend. Was für ein Kracher Rum. Dieser hat mich komplett abgeholt. Die erste Bewertung in der Blindverkostung war eine 9.3, aber im Vergleich zu den andern Highlights reicht diese Bewertung leider nicht aus um ein faires Bild aufzuzeigen. Nach oben korrigiert.

Attaque en bouche extrêmement puissante ! Le Rhum est absolument magnifique et d’une longueur incroyable ! C’est un Rhum de 1975 absolument parfait ! Au finale on ressent un peu l’amertume du bois ! Notes de pruneaux

Extrem beeindruckend, wenn er direkt aus einer frischen Flasche genossen werden darf. Extrem komplex mit dunklen Früchten, Holznoten, Gewürzen, Leder, Tabak…das gesamte Spektrum der alten Demerara-Welt. Ein Genuss.

GRF13: Sample von RhumAuctioneer Der dritte alte Port Mourant…und was für einer…trotz seines Alters … ein absolut grandioser Stoff… komplex, elegant und cremig. Das ist es, wofür ich Rum so sehr mag und genieße…davon müsste es noch viel mehr und bezahlbar geben!

Wow was für eine Farbe und tolle intensive Nase. Rote Beeren, und Holz, die sich gegenseitig nicht überlagern. Und selbst am Gaumen brachial intensiv. Das Teil macht einfach wahnsinnig viel Spaß. Tausend Dank an die jungs von RhumAuction, dass ihr den mit aufs Rumfest gebracht und geteilt habt.

Blindverkostung Franconian Tasting Gang: Dunkles Pot Still Profil. Bitter im Abgang aber vorher tolles dunkles Ild School Profil mit allem was dazu gehört. Klar Guyana, vermutlich PM? Sehr lecker und reichhaltig.

Granate! Götterstoff. Veilchen, pure bittere Melasse, Grapefruitschale, Kakaonibs,Ledercouch... Und noch so viel mehr. Schwer dunkel und ölig. Wirklich abgefahrener Stoff, danke für die Möglichkeit, geil!

Franconian Rum Tasting Gang & Jakob, 2023-07-27 Teil 2: Mein erster Eindruck: Schwarzer Tee, Kräuter, pflanzliche und modrige Noten. Dahinter Trockenobst, Holz, etwas Süße von Karamell. Am Gaumen geht es ähnlich weiter. Schöner, langer Abgang.
