F. Dubois & Cie Flor de las Antillas Rhum Vieux San-Pedro
One taster called it a "super solid rum from the 40s," and that long time in wood is the whole story here. It's a dark, heavy old Martinique agricole — cane juice softened by decades in cask into dark fruit, cinnamon and a gentle sweetness, with a little floral lift and faint smoke. Several tasted it at festival stands and loved the rarity, though a few found the finish thin.

Messebewertung Village'25 Nürnberg Schönes Teil was Emilie wieder am Catawiki Stand präsentiert hat. Ein schöner alter Agricole, der eine schöne Feuchtigkeit verbreitet, sowohl an Nase als auch am Gaumen. Echt toll solche tollen Raritäten verkosten zu können.

Schön so ein altes Schätzchen mal im Glas gehabt zu haben, aber unter Messebedingungen auch schwer zu beurteilen. Angenehme Süße, fruchtig, leichte Gewürznoten. Angehmes Mundgefühl, aber leider dünner Abgang.

#5331 19.05.2025 Running a few samples while listening to some nice EDM. Nose Wood, light floral, spice, faint cherry, faint sugarcane, faint smoke. Palate Oily, wood, light roasted, fruits, faint sugarcane, light prunes, cinnamon, sweet, medium spicy. Palate Medium long, medium spicy, wood, fruits, light dried fruit, sweet, oily. Empty glass Cinnamon, light chocolate, light sugarcane, faint leather. German Rum Fest 2024 sample.
