Anyone who likes a quiet, woody Bacardi to sip slowly will get the most from this one. It's light oak, nutmeg, green apple and a soft nutty-mocha edge, with a bit of char on the back. Several tasters agree it "needs to rest" — flat on first pour, more layered after it breathes. Smooth at 40%, and a couple of people found it thin.

Very multi-faceted on the nose: oak, spices, woody, nuts and tropical fruit. The true taste unfolds on the palate after it has taken a deep breath. As on the nose, there is a wide range of flavors here too: Nuts, wood/smoke, banana, apple, coffee. A well-balanced Bacardi that is unparalleled in the house's portfolio.

On The Rocks: On the nose no real decernable notes other then mild alcohol and very light oak. Taste has some fruit and floral notes with spice and slightly bitter char but fairly smooth. Starting to develop some complexity with a longer lasting finish. This is an enjoyable sipper once it has had time to breath. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose mild sweetness. Taste has mild sweetness with fruit, floral and spice notes. Extremely smooth and enjoyable mixed but you do lose some complexity in the finish.

I don’t know whats exactly happening with this rum, but I so like this one. It’s hard to pin down flavors on this one, but it’s very tasty to me and one of my favorites all time rums.
