Velier Chelo Clairin Sajous 2016
Most drinkers here sip this neat and only half-jokingly say it's "almost too good to mix." Fresh cut grass, green vegetables, celery and a mineral, salty edge — with grilled pineapple, pear and ripe berries filling in the fruit. At 54.3% the alcohol sits well integrated, and a few drops of water round it out and push the fruit forward. Green, bold, and complex for a white rum.

NOSE: Very fruity; grilled pineapple, mango, papaya, cherry and perhaps sweet banana in the background. Almost equally prominent are the oily notes; fumes and even exhaust of kerosene and diesel. Again hints of smoky mescal. Great nose (90-91p) A little water opens it up; fruitier, less mineral or oily, lifting my score just a notch. (91-92p) TASTE: Slightly more alcohol and pepper on the arrival, but nice concentration on the mid palate. Water really lifts it, opens it up, makes it more harmonious; fruity, nicely structured, mildly peppered, even a little oiliness. (90-91p) OVERALL: 91 points

what a great Agricole blanc! Almost too good to blend. On the nose incredibly complex, pear, olive, red fruit, spice. On the palate, honeydew melon comes to mind, with an intense sweetness, along with freshly cut grass. The finish brings green vegetables to which some earth still clings 😉.

#4456 08.11.2023 This is a very fresh and intense release. Very fruity with some esters and Agricole and light mineral notes. The palate is oily and fresh and there is a very long and warm finish. Love the citrus in the profile. The empty glass has light vegetal notes.

Yes man, also a great rum from @SaibotZtar. Honestly mega tasty. Alcohol is super integrated, you can hardly feel it. Otherwise slightly fruity, mineral and yet very intense. But really delicious. Recommendation goes out:-)

I like even better than the already extremely good 2018 bottling. Is more complex with a very nice fruity berry note. Otherwise also green and grassy with lots of sugar cane and pronounced ester notes. One of the best white rums!
