I can smell my dad's workshop in the aroma of this caroni, although less than I would expect in a caroni. Of the caronis I've had a chance to taste so far, this one has a rather sweeter start. However, this quickly transitions into technical notes that suit me and has a nice long finish. The nose is fine but the taste is unfortunately very diluted.

Good Caroni but 43% ... Caroni je destilerie z Trinidadu, produkujici v dobe sve nejvetsi slavy rum, ktery se pridaval v pomeru 1:10 do namornickeho blendu. Byl totiz moc vyrazny a divny nez aby byl prijemny na jazyku. V roce 2000 destilerka skoncila s produkci a byla uzavrena. Az v roce 2010 se objevili degustatori, kteri si rum oblibili prave pro jeho specialni chut. A zajem rostl. Caroni patri do kategorie rumu "you need to try before you die". Doporucuji, Caroni je opravdu unikatni rum.

This is a rum for experienced rum drinkers. Very complex and extremely smoky. This rum was destilled in 1996 and bottled in 2011. Matured for 12 years in Trinidad.
