#7327 19.09.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after my bike training, trying to release the sore muscle in my hip. Listening to a playlist on Spotify called Discover Weekly. Pretty nice rum with an OK price tag at release. Medium intense profile with roasted wood, caramel, peat, smoke, spice, fruits, nougat, tar, nuts, caramel and a dry palate.

Mild rum with a discreet fruity nose. On the palate, the peated whisky finish takes over, bringing smoky notes but counterbalanced by a slight sweetness. The alcohol is well integrated, but the whole appears slightly reduced. Long, smoky finish. It could be highly appreciated by whisky and peat lovers. Next

The surprise of the evening. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy the Islay finish (having found it disgusting in another rum) but this was really enjoyable. It was subtle enough and added to the rum rather than overpowering and destroying it.

Impressive smoked style rum. You really have to be in the mood for this. I am not a “smoke aficionado”, otherwise I would have set the score closer to 90.
