Built for a ti-punch, this one leans into fresh cane, lemon and a green, peppery bite that's pure Martinique agricole. Several tasters call it a "beau rapport prix plaisir" — a lot of easy enjoyment for the money. Pure grass, lemons and herbs on the nose and palate - typical Agricole. However, the alcoholic sharpness is more pronounced. In the punch it cuts a normal figure, but in comparison it disappointed. It's not a bad rum for a Ti Punch, but not a good one either. 7.5/10 points

Tasted blind at home against Mauny's wouj, which he left on the shelf. To be tasted again against an opponent of its stature, I'll perhaps be more nuanced. Nose: rich, powerful lemon and citrus fruit. Palate: citrus and exotic fruit. Good length on the cane.
