Caramel, burnt sugar and vanilla lead, with plum and raisin from the port cask underneath and a little coffee on the nose. It's soft, oily and clearly sweetened, with a short finish. Several tasters use it on ice or even pour it over dessert. One member called the 2019 easy but underwhelming — the port finish stays faint.

21.05.2022 Sampling at home. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light, light wood, sweet, fruits, caramel, light chocolate, dried fruit, light orange. Palate Oily, sweet, light wood, caramel, dried fruit, light orange, faint chocolate, port, vanilla. Finish Short to medium, sweet, oily, light wood, orange, light caramel, port, light chocolate. Extra note. This is a very sweet rum and I have been using it as dessert rum or for baking&on ice cream.

Oh yes very tasty. On nose and palate a nice light vanilla, caramel, and coffee note. Exactly how it should be. This rum convinced me. Can and must definitely recommend it. Very tasty.

Tried this one today, but the 2019.To be honest: not impressed. It’s an easy drinker, quite sweet with a little burn. Port finish not that noticeable. Definitely sugar added. Does not stand out. Probably would have loved it 5 years ago.

Tasted during a blind tasting. On the nose, immediately this special plum fruitiness present, which I associate with the Tres Hombres from the Dominican Republic. Very pleasant nose. The empty glass later has a fine wood smoke note. On the palate, the fruit continues, especially plum together with raisins. Behind that baking powder, quite sweet, somewhat herbal. The finish is short and a bit thin. A bit drier with higher proof would help this rum to "very good".
