Vanilla, grilled coconut and a sweet apricot-jam warmth sit over roasted oak here — one taster called it "a real candy." It's a 46% Travellers column-still rum from Belize, aged 10 years by Mezan. Pleasant and easy-drinking, but several members note some solvent on the nose and a flatter, slightly bitter middle. Enjoyable rather than deep.

Nose: strong lost banana, wood, vanillaMouth: alcohol largely well integrated, burns slightly on the first sip, but thereafter largely gentle, woody, bitter, less fruity. Finish: maximum notice, warming, not special. Can be drunk away quite well, but is nothing complex/special. Do not buy again

Looking at the price tag you get a lot for your money with this release. A very fruity and sweet rum with some spices and nice roasted wood. The caramel in the profile could have been a bit more subtle, but some like it 😊 The empty glass is really nice and has even stronger flavours.

On the nose sweet fruit replaced by vanilla and chocolate. But solvent and alcohol are also clearly noticeable. In the mouth rather flat and bitter, then a strong spicy finish. Roasted notes linger on the tongue for some time.

A very vibrant Belize rum, with the typical vanilla/wood/grilled coconut aromas revolving around a sweet warm apricot jam toast. A real candy!
