Ti punch drinkers reach for this one first, and for good reason. Fresh sugarcane, lime and a green peppery bite run right through it, with a floral lift on the nose. At 55% it should be hot, but most members find it surprisingly easy — one calls it almost mild. Neat it's sharp but drinkable; in a ti punch it sings.

Bought this Rhum Neisson Blanc 55 some months ago on my way home from Spain. The distillery has been operational since 1931 and they produce their AOC rhums from sugar cane from their own fields. The harvest takes place between late February and June and it’s during this period the Blanc 55 is produced from 5 different sugar canes, which probably gives it some complexity. Before bottled it has rested in stainless steel vats for 6 months. Overall a great premium Agricole Blanc that works well neat as well in an Ti Punch.

Neisson is Martinique's benchmark agricultural rum. Its fruity taste and strength make it a must-have for ti-punches. Its value for money is almost unbeatable for a white rum.

#4556 19.01.2024 Got a set of samples from a former colleague in Sweden and today I'll give them a go. My tastebuds are still hyper sensitive, which can be both good and bad. This is a rum where the price to quality is extremely good. An Agricole that is fruity and fresh and well rounded. I love the floral touch in the profile. Tha palate is fresh and warm and the finish is long and spicy. Overall a very nice and well rounded Agricole that is medium dry. The empty glass has some mint to it.

Medium plus intensity aroma with grassy, herbaceous, vegetal, olive, and peppery notes that continue throughout the experience. It is first sharp on the palate with pronounced flavors but smooths out with lingering pepper and herbs.

Wow... FOR 55% by volume, the rhum is quite mild. The nose is quite inviting and makes you want more. The taste reminded me, among other things, of a fruit brandy. The finish is long and brings other flavors to the day. A really good rhum. Can also be drunk very well pure. As Ti Punch🥃echt to recommend.

Neisson's entry-level is the best value for money among Martinican white rums. The balance between the fruitiness of the cane and citrus is ideal. However, I prefer a bit less alcohol.

Quite an expressive nose of cane, not very fat. Splendid mouthfeel, with the beginnings of a ti punch, even though I didn't add anything. Can be drunk dry without any problem and stands on its own. Alcohol very well integrated. With a peppery finish and a touch of green. Some rather volatile earthy and bitter facets on the palate, which I like because they add a touch of complexity and are not too present.

Description Nose: herbal, fresh and floral Palate: peppery, herbal, fresh and floral Finish: herbal, floral and peppery. Conclusion: bought for €32 in France in a supermarket. Unbeatable quality-price ratio. I recommend it. As much as the Neisson 52.5°.

Wow!!!! What a rum! Honestly, you absolutely have to taste it! A beautiful floral and peppery smell then on the palate... an explosion of flavor which makes this rum one of the most pleasant I've had the chance to taste so far! Despite its 55 degrees, I find it quite smooth when drunk neat. On the other hand, it's more than perfect in a little punch. Don't offer it to your guests or the bottle will quickly be empty lol. And finally, excellent value for money, I found it for 28 euros at Auchan! So, what are you waiting for to get a bottle?!?

The basic neisson does not disappoint at all. Do not expect the rounded refined Clos Godinot-like Neisson, this one has sharp tooths ad uses them. Made for t-punch and mixing rather than neat drinking, yet is really pleasant and enyoable also when tasted. Sugarcane at its best, vegetal and sugar-y, a great rum for this price, the reference when it comes to supermarket rums in France.
