Havana Club 15 Años Añejo Gran Reserva
Roasted wood, dried fruit and light caramel with vanilla and a whisper of acetone on the nose — this is classic mild Cuban character at 15 years. Many call it a lovely cigar companion, but there's near-universal agreement the palate goes thin and flattens fast after a promising nose. Pleasant and easy, just don't expect it to hit hard.

Summarized by AI from community reviews.
Mild Cuban cigar sipper, thin palate Well-liked as a smooth, elegant cigar sipper with a beautiful nose, but a lot of tasters find the palate weak and short — the nose promises more than it delivers.

A Cuban rum that perfectly complements a Habano. Very pleasant to drink. Totally recommended, if you can buy it, do not hesitate. Salu! 🥃

I think it’s good, but not exceptional in any way. Both the nose and the medium long finish is quite weak. I think the “Seleccion de Maestros” is a better buy when considering the price, but it will anyway have its place on the Cuban shelf in my rumbar.

Day trip Düsseldorf September 2025. Pub Mojito's fine cocktail bar. Next a 15-year-old Havana. I really found the nose outstanding, pleasant sweetness, vanilla and also caramel. On the palate it then immediately flattens out. Not a must.

20.07.2019 Nice private blind tasting where we put tinfoil around the bottles we brought. That ended up being a great evening. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light roasted wood, sweet, floral, light honey, faint chocolate, earthy, light citrus. Palate Light, sweet, wood, light roasted, spicy, light caramel, light earthy, dried fruit. Finish Medium long, wood, light fruit, light caramel, light chocolate, sweet.

Beautiful Cuban. Mild and tasty. Price but a bit sporty.

For me a little too weak on the chest, but soak away very well if you get it as a gift. Pleasant rum with typical Cuban DNA, but just with poor PLV.

Good Ron. Exciting is something else unxx because it's not cheap.

Very noble Cuba profile, rather light on the nose, with wood/barrel, some tobacco and spice. Taste pleasantly oak, tobacco (possibly cigar), a hint of coffee leading to a peppery, long finish with a certain sharpness and oak. For a Spanish/Cuban rum, quite high complexity, yet quite mild. Unfortunately, I like it quite a bit (the price...), much better than the rather fruity Seleccion de Maestros, much closer to the "nobler Havana 7" than the latter.. I guess I'll have to treat myself to a bottle after all. Drinks: - Neat: 4.5/5 - Rum Cola: 5/5

On the nose, it’s rather bright with a little acetone, tasting we’ll rounded enjoyable sipper, a little on the expensive side

Very smooth and rounded, hints of cherry, short finish...tasty, I'm glad I tried it, but it's not my style of rum...

Read full review ›For me its better balanced, less sweet with more oak. Overall this isn't a bad rum but for £120 not one I'll ever buy or one I would recommend to anyone other than the staunchest Havana Club fan. Not for me I'm afraid. Above average at best and one you...
