A rum from the "Niki's und Arturs Jamaiksnische Aventurien Teil 2" series. A nose of smoke and damp wood, old leather (horse saddle), but also tropical fruit and apple. The palate starts with yellow fruit, then a creosote (cold chimney) note appears. The finish is on wood, ash and yellow fruit. The alcohol is far from perfectly integrated, and the nose promises more than the palate has to offer.

Nikis and Arturs Jamaican adventures part 2. First of all, a big thank you again for the chance to have such rarities in the glass. To put it simply, Jamaican rum decades ago was not the rum you know from Jamaica today, but still very interesting to try. These are not really top-notch, but still more than drinkable.

Nikis and Arturs Jamaican Aventurien No8 Nose very special... acidity, citrus fruit esters, olive. Grassy floral notes. On the palate first sweet then some fruit and then immediately musty, stale.

The first really heavy, old Jamaican in the tasting. Needs a lot of time to shed the musty cellar note. Then, besides shoe sole, tobacco and saddle leather suddenly appear. Very dusty, dry taste that I like. At the end a bit of plum and date. Gets better over time. Located in Jamaica, but really unclear what was in the glass in the end. A very old Clarendon?
