Rum Albrecht Green Bay Echter Jamaica Rum
Old-Jamaica hunters will want this one on the table — it drinks like a curiosity from another era, and members say so. Cold-fireplace smoke, damp wood and old saddle leather lead, with a dusty, musty "cellar" note that needs air to settle. Underneath sit yellow fruit, a little plum and date. Dry, heavy and idiosyncratic at 54% — the nose promises more than the palate delivers.

How does Rum Albrecht Green Bay Echter Jamaica Rum taste?
Aggregated from 10 community reviews.
Dry, smoky, leathery old-school Jamaican Tasters land on the same word: interesting. A dry, leathery, musty old Jamaican that rewards patience — though a few found the alcohol not fully integrated and the palate thinner than the nose.

A rum from the "Niki's und Arturs Jamaiksnische Aventurien Teil 2" series. A nose of smoke and damp wood, old leather (horse saddle), but also tropical fruit and apple. The palate starts with yellow fruit, then a creosote (cold chimney) note appears. The finish is on wood, ash and yellow fruit. The alcohol is far from perfectly integrated, and the nose promises more than the palate has to offer.

Interesting. Very much in the wood, dark and leathery space.
