Best sipped neat and slowly — this is a rum to sit with. It's very dark, oily and plummy, with dark chocolate, ripe dried fruit and a whisper of licorice, and the sherry wood sits so well that one taster wouldn't have guessed there was a finish at all. Dry oak closes it out. A few find it a touch mild for a Port Mourant, but the depth is real.

A few notes on this one as well. Very dark, oily and fruity rum. The nose in the empty glass after an hour is amazing. Price to quality extremely good.

Powerful and complex rum with a lot of depth. Notes of dark chocolate, ripe fruit and fine spices make it very exciting. The finish is long and pleasantly warming without being too heavy. A real highlight.

Surprisingly plummy and fruity for a 74, dry wood on the finish - beautiful depth and complexity. The sherry finish is perfectly integrated. I wouldn't guess a finish at all.
