Nose: Light sweetness of tropical fruits predominates, something chocolaty and spicy lingers, also slight lacquer aromas detectable. Rather subtle for Jamaica. Palate: Fresh, woody, spicy start, whisky aromas quickly take over. Grain and smoke can be mainly identified, but accompanied all the time by a honey sweetness and herbal note in the background. Finish: The herbal notes remain with a slight sweetness of honey and a bit of smoke. Conclusion: Without a special finish, the closeness to whisky surprises me for a Jamaican. The light honey sweetness paired with the herbal note is pleasing.

31.07.2021 A nice tasting held by a bygone spirits shop. Notes Light to medium dark in colour. Nose Light wood, faint smoke, fruity, overripe, plum, faint nuts. Palate Light, light wood, fruity, banana, overripe, light nuts, naturally sweet, light vegetal. Finish Medium long, fresh, light, light wood, fruity, naturally sweet, faint smoke.
