Plum and caramel up front, with a smoky, woody edge and a fruit-schnapps note running through it. At 28 years and 45%, it drinks soft and oily — one member said it "runs down like oil" and felt almost Christmassy. Sweet but not artificial. Very pleasant. Goes down like oil. Almost a bit Christmassy. One of the best rums I've tried so far!!!!!!!!

I stumbled upon the Davidsen 15 by chance, I think it was in a tasting set. I liked it with its smell and taste towards chocolate and even for a very moderate price. Now I treated myself to the Davidsen 28 because I wanted to try another rum from the series. Higher price brings higher expectations and honestly, they are not really met. A good rum with smell and taste of plum and caramel. Something smoky and woody mixes in. It is sweet but not artificial. So a good rum but I liked the 15 better and it is also cheaper.
