The "12 years" on the label points to age, but this drinks younger and simpler than that suggests. Expect creme brulee, milk chocolate, vanilla and a little tropical fruit, all on a light body. A few tasters catch a whiff of alcohol or something faintly medicinal up front, and the finish fades fast. Easygoing and sweet rather than deep.

Very chocolatey, rather sweet rum but not too cloying. Nice beginner rum or as a sipper for the first drink.

Can’t recommend this rum! It’s produced in a multi column still and I believe the average age of this Solera rum is quite few years. The aroma is very alcoholic. The flavors on the other hand is quite sweet with flavors of vanilla and caramel. The finish is very short.

It may deserve a higher rating, and More sampling will be required. Straight up, it is sweet with minimal burn. Certainly a waste to mix it.
