Bristol Caroni Reserve Rum of Trinidad Sherrywood
Sherry-soaked Caroni that trades the usual tar and diesel for toffee, prune and raisin. Members find it milder than expected — one calls it a light, "un po debole" Caroni — with light wood, plum and a faint smoke underneath. The sherry cask divides people hard: some love the caramel-forward result, one taster found the sherry turned muddy and old-wood bitter.
The community says- Toffee and prune
- Softer than most Caroni
- But: Reads sweet

How does Bristol Caroni Reserve Rum of Trinidad Sherrywood taste?
Aggregated from 18 community reviews.
Mild, sherried Caroni heavy on caramel A gentle, sherried take on Caroni. Fans of the sweeter, caramel side enjoy it, but those chasing the classic tar-and-petrol Caroni feel it's watered down and too sweet.

Review by Winetrader
The palate of this Rum is more aggressive, with more wood. The palate is also a little less elegant, and the finish is more rustic and much less elegant. A very interesting Rum, however
Review by Harald
Color: Chestnutoloroso Sherry Aroma: Mild, leather, toffee, tropical fruit (banana), roasted almond. Toasted. Taste: Mild in the mouth with toffee. Medium intensity. Unpleasant taste of bad sherry when swallowing. Woody, nutty. Finish: Medium length Bitter aftertaste, old rotten wood, bad sherry. Conclusion: Does not taste good, dominated by bad sherry.
