#7338 20.09.2026 Relaxing with some samples after a relaxing day. Watching Myth Busters on Amazon Prime. A very nice and well balance Long Pond and the price tag at release was very good. Very fruity profile with spice, caramel, nuts, roasted wood, ester, overripe fruits, faint smoke, medicinal, grass and tannins.

1986 LP X-Tasting: I have to admit that the younger one disappointed me. Certainly not a bad rum, but the alcohol is not well integrated in the nose and palate. At the same time, the finish is very short and monotonous for the high ABV.

Compared to the "sister bottling," less barrel aging and an alcohol that already stings a bit (no wonder at >70%). Loses the race against the RX10612 because of that. The secondary market price is also completely inflated here; there are better LPs for a fraction of the money.
