I expected more for the price, the price-performance ratio leaves a lot to be desired. But as a Cuba Libre it's still too good.

#6680 22.04.2026 Relaxing with a few evening samples while watching Body Cam on Max. This one is not really me to be honest. Whacked out of balance, it does pretty well in cola though. Fruity and floral with a light peppery touch.

Spritzy and not a really good white rum in my eyes

Quite forgettable rum. Very mild rum with mild flavours. Very unexpressive and therefore unimpressive. Does not really do anything wrong but also does not stand out. Most likely is fine in a daiquiri if you want to focus on the lime juice. Otherwise I would use it as a filler rum in another cocktail.

Read full review →What you get is serviceable, fleeting, and forgettable. And very, very boring. A distillery with this type of heritage really should be doing much better than this in 2026. It is no wonder Angostura are rarely if ever mentioned by Rum Enthusiasts beyond their famous bitters.
