14th day in the Christmas calendar. Blind! Not so easy. Barbados yes. Mount Gay, maybe very. But it is also extremely similar to the Velier Antigua 2012 in color, nose, and taste! Interesting. N: fresh-spicy-fruity-floral. The alcohol stings massively. Behind it fine fruits: papaya, fig, date, and peach. Underlined by honey with violets, almost cream candy. Then vanilla and nutmeg. Dry-woody and a bit of mint at the back. P: a bit more muted. Bitter, intensely salty, a bit roasted-bacon and almond. Herbs, mint, and licorice. Hay at the back. Really a good one!
