A super baroque and expressive nose with apple alcohol, overripe pineapple, a kind of bubble gum, sweet herbs, menthol and like a smell of fresh cheese. The entry is very nice, on pineapple but with an earthy side and a taste of veined cheese (Stilton). The finish is moderately long, with all the aromas slowly diminishing. A long-lasting scent of herbs and tropical fruit remains. A very lively rum and, as usual with Savanna, special aromas.

What an interesting rum. I must say, the nose is fascinating - never have I come across a juicy fruit/bubblegum note like this, and it’s so prominent. The bouquet is intense - esters, candied fruits, some olive brine and a tiny bit of hay/grass on the backend. On the palate it is interesting too - ester, fruit, a little alcoholic and a little intense, some olive and green qualities without being too vegetal. There is a medicinal quality that I’m not very fond of. Can’t say that I’d find myself sipping on it but for an unaged rum it is quite fun. Mixed with diet coke on its own, it’s a little odd but I think this could be excellent in the right cocktail.

Super crazy stuff that you can’t really compare with anything else. An explosion of smells and flavors. Absolutely brilliant in cocktails if used in the right proportion.

This is a pretty good rum and I remember that the nose surprised me a lot. Very fruity and fresh from nose to finish. Overall a great rum at the price tag.

Kleines Savanna Crosstasting mit den 57er Batches #2, #3 und #4 und dem 2023 Savanna Herr. Die Batches 2-4 sind für mich alle so ziemlich auf Augenhöhe und bringen sehr viel Frucht, Gummibärchen- und Kaugummi-Aromen mit. Der 2023er dagegen wirkt viel künstlicher/medizinischer/synthetischer, was mir hier überhaupt nicht gefällt.

I compared the Habitation velier HERR, the HERR 57 (2019) and the HERR 57 2022. The first two are very similar with the HERR 57 (2019) being slightly better in my opinion. Both are full of red fruit, berries, bubble gum, glue and flowers. The HERR 57 (2022) has more vegetal notes and is less fruity. This one was my least favourite out of the three.

Wow dieser Savanna ist ein wirklich sehr guter Rum. Schmeckt sehr nach Banane und überreif. Natürlich auch die typischen Ester Noten zu erkennen. Ein sehr guter weißer Rum den ich wirklich empfehlen kann.

The nose is on the strawberry tagada and Banan'S from Haribo! Back in the schoolyard of my childhood ... it's confusing and intriguing when you've never crossed it on your way. In the mouth, it is the amusement park and its roller coaster. It goes from a pronounced smokiness to rotting fruit. On paper, it is scary. But in the mouth it's wowwwwww. The finish is again extremely long on minty red fruits.
