04.03.2017 Whiskymessen by whisky.dk with a few friends and also trying some whisky samples. Notes. Very nice rum with well integrated wood and ABV. Round oily palate with medium to long finish.

Die gruchliche Lakritznote findet sich geschmacklich gar nicht wieder. Hier ist er recht glatt und weist dunkle röstnoteb auf. Nicht besonders würzig, aber angenehm dunkel.

... Enmore - drive distillery, now only a functional distillation device. Probably the only wooden distillation device in the world that enjoys great popularity. Enmore rums have flavors of ash, leather, heavy wood, which especially delights lovers of smoky whiskies. And if the producer adds a bit of molasses to the rum in the traditional Guyanese way, you have a unique, very strong and heavy rum in the bottle. One of my favorites.

A gentle, rounded and complex piece from old Guyanese stocks. Sweeter profile with lots of chocolate, coffee spices and leather. On the palate it could handle less dilution, but that was simply how older releases (bottled a long time ago) were done.
