#5184 29.03.2025 Running through some samples at home. Nose Medium intense, wood, light roasted, spice, light dried fruit, faint caramel. Palate Oily, wood, faint smoke, light caramel, naturally sweet, raisin, faint plum, faint chocolate. Finish Medium to long, wood, light roasted, light caramel, spice, light chocolate, naturally sweet. Empty glass Chocolate, vanilla, light prunes, light caramel.

Very nice rum. Taste-wise exactly between the 25-year-old Malecon Reserva and the Malecon Rare Prove series.

Shop visit Rum Paradise Hamburg December 2025. A pretty solid Panama rum, rather on the sweet side, caramel, chocolate and honey can be detected, also slightly woody and spicy (vanilla, pepper and cinnamon).

Unfortunately not really 18 years old but just solera. But I have to say a nice rounded product. The aromas (especially vanilla) are very intense and the product is very easy to drink. Should be tried at least once.

On The Rocks: On the nose a subtle brown sugar and molasses with some mild oak and roasted undertones. Taste reveals an initial brown sugar the quickly gives way to spices and sweetness with some alcoholic notes. Finish is medium going more bitter with treacle notes that hangs in the back of your throat. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose mild brown sugar. Taste is very flat with no finish. Do not drink this mixed.
