This sweet and spicy aroma on the nose is special and I like it very much - slight hints of Jamaica with the aromas of esters cannot be denied. The alcohol is really well integrated and brings out the individual flavor components strongly. This rum should be enjoyed neat in a glass. It is very tasty and dangerously drinkable. But beware, it is strong in the barrel.

And the last Ron Johan for today, so I now have 7/8 :-). It's really not bad compared to the two previous ones, woody and flowery nose, on the palate also wood (oak), as well as spices (nutmeg). I think this is the best Ron Johan.

"This excelled a lot over the old plum Variant. Either the cask has been a lot more active or the time was just longer. This one clearly shows a promising direction. But in all honesty i am unsure wether it really could get into greatness.."
