Not only better than feared but this one impressed me. Clear fruity notes on the nose as well as some caramel with a hint of spice. More fruit on the tongue but backs it up with more interesting floral, earthy, musty notes of some kind. It is balanced and multi-dimensional but I would not call it complex. While giving a kinder experience then 50% ABV usually gives my palate, still a little alcoholic burn is inescapable, unfortunately. Finish is short and similar to overall taste. A fun and good rum. Can certainly drunk neat (surprisingly to me) as well as mixer. I'm guessing this could shine in a Ti' Punch though it's not an agricole.
