I don't know what to say. But this Caroni is really great;-) Nice rubber, solvent and dirt on the nose. Typical Caroni on the palate. Very medicinal, rubber, tar and leather are recognizable. Wow, 1a :)

Ho avuto la fortuna di assaggiare questo rum direttamente da chi lo ha imbottigliato! Un caroni elegantissimo dove si mischiano le sue solite note di catrame e medicinali a note più dolci di frutta, crema e cioccolato! Una parte che non ho riscontrato in nessun altro caroni è il sentore presente di lievito che si percepisce anche leggermente nel gusto!

29.01.2022 The big Caroni tasting with old rum buddies, good food, snacks and a lot of talking about old times. Notes Dark in colour. Nose Round, wood, light roasted, fruity, pineapple, workshop, light mint, faint floral. Palate Fresh, wood, light smoke, fruits, leather, mint, naturally sweet, floral, workshop. Finish Long, medium dry, wood, citrus, light chocolate.

Surprisingly very nice filling from wild parrot. Again, a very technical nose, which I have been seeing a lot lately with the 1998 caroni. Slightly sweet, yet very technical and finishes with a slightly minty flavour profile. Perfectly untegrated alcohol and a long warming finish.

Schönes HTR-Profil mit noch recht präsentem Alkohol. Das Aromenspektrum ist sehr lebendig, Holz, Gewürze, Toffee und die typischen Heavy-Noten für Caroni kommen schön zur Geltung. Für die nicht ganz überzeugende Alkoholintegration gibt es von mir leichte Abzüge, das Release gefällt mir aber insgesamt gar nicht schlecht.

... Caroni je destilerie z Trinidadu, produkujici v dobe sve nejvetsi slavy rum, ktery se pridaval v pomeru 1:10 do namornickeho blendu. Byl totiz moc vyrazny a divny nez aby byl prijemny na jazyku. V roce 2000 destilerka skoncila s produkci a byla uzavrena. Az v roce 2010 se objevili degustatori, kteri si rum oblibili prave pro jeho specialni chut. A zajem rostl. Caroni patri do kategorie rumu "you need to try before you die". Doporucuji, Caroni je opravdu unikatni rum.
