Bacardi 151
Almost nobody drinks this neat, and the reviews make it clear why: at 75.5% it's mostly heat, with a quick flash of sweetness and caramel before the alcohol rolls over everything. One taster called it "possibly too strong for its own good," another said it tastes the same as other rums once you cut it half-and-half in cola. This is a high-proof mixing tool, not a sipper.
- Big alcoholic punch
- Goes far diluted
- Adds kick to punch

How does Bacardi 151 taste?
Aggregated from 12 community reviews.
Brutal overproof mixer, little flavor neat Most people treat it as a high-octane mixer, not a rum to sip. Neat, it's harsh and one-note; the flavor mostly disappears once it's diluted in cola.

I think possibly too strong for its own good.

Tasted 10-04-2017 This is bacardis zombie rum and it's a flat as a pancake . It just doesn't deliver on anything other than high proof no flavour . To be fair what I expect from a column still rum that's produced by them .
Review by Kay Schmidtke
Pure, it's a punch in the face with a rum aroma. We call it "Blinker links", because you pass everyone else with it. Especially recommended if you arrive late at a party and want to make up a few meters quickly. I was happy to buy the liter for €25 and have always made do with this rum concentrate for a long time. The taste is indistinguishable from cola if you only use half for a mixture. Unfortunately no longer available since 2016.

Ideal for giving big fruity punches an alcoholic kick, or have it neat and kick yourself in the face.
