Sweet-tooth sippers who want something soft and easy will get on with this one. It's caramel, vanilla, butterscotch and a chocolate-cookie note, with roasted nutty, oaky flavors from the cask. Several tasters call it the nicest of the Barceló range and note almost none of the usual dark-rum bitterness. The catch: it's thin and sweetened, and short on complexity.

Mainly sweet, caramel, and chocolatey. Not overly sweet but definitely enhanced here. Has a bit of chocolate cookies vibe, but unfortunately also very thin. 40-42% ABV would have suited it better. Otherwise, there isn’t much complexity to be found here.

A nice upgrade compared to the Barcelo Gran Anejo. A lot richer in taste. Nice roasted flavors from the cask. Medium finish with caramel.

I thought I'd give this a shot for 22€ to see how this would be if I had this as a daily rum. I think it is quite ok. The fact that the abv is so low is not an issue. It has a nice rounded mouthfeel with tons of roasted nuts and oaky notes. Lovely.

Rather sweet. Mostly caramel, vanilla and butterscotch vibes. Pretty different from other Barcelo rums for that price. Not very complex, but still interesting. A bit like Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva.
