Ein ungefärbter und sehr alter Port Mourant, ein seltener Anblick. Und ein weiterer Vertreter der zeigt, wie wenig die damaligen Abfüllungen mit Vertretern aus den 90er oder 2000er zu tun haben und das eben auch ohne Zuckerkulör. Die Ähnlichkeiten ist in diesem Fall zwar zu gängigen Abfüllungen schon größer, unterscheidet sich dennoch enorm und hat eher Parallelen zur Raffinesse der Port Mourant aus den 70er. Dieser hier spielt mit einer enormen und eleganten Fruchtigkeit und mit floralen Noten. sehr rund und ausgewogen und im Mund sehr süß, süffig und unkompliziert. Schade dass DDL nichts wirklich vergleichbares mehr in der Double Wooden Potstill herstellt

When picking up my new Plantation Extreme 3 ITP today I was offered this one to sample. Guess that having a large collection does sometimes pay off. This is a very impressive rum from Bristol Classic. There can be no doubt that this is a Port Mourant Rum. Extremely well balanced, complex and it just sets your palate on fire with wonderful expressions. Unfortunately a very rare rum, but none the less a masterpiece.
