#5508 27.07.2025 Enjoying a bit of Savanna samples while watching Star Trek Discovery. Nose Balanced, fruity, light anise, faint grass, citrus, strawberry, light wood, faint chocolate, faint floral. Palate Oily, balanced, light wood, fruity, anise, light chocolate, faint caramel, spice, naturally sweet, strawberry, floral. Finish Medium to long, light wood, fruity, strawberry, light chocolate, light caramel. Empty glass Vanilla, chocolate, floral, light vegetal.

My first aged Savanna HERR, discovered by chance in a restaurant. The smell and taste were a big surprise. The fruitiness of the HERR and the maturity and cask aromas harmonized excellently. Very intense fermented fruit flavors and a certain elegance from the Cognac cask complement each other wonderfully. The finish is incredibly long and still lingers on the tongue when the bill is long paid. How great it would be if there were better available and affordable Herrs!
