Silver Seal Diamond Demerara 2002
Give it time in the glass — most members agree it needs air before it opens. The nose is the highlight: fruity peach and green apple with a whiff of glue, likely a Port Mourant. On the palate it turns to dark chocolate, dried fruit, wood and a distinct salty edge, but the body reads thin. The alcohol at 50% sits well integrated.

How does Silver Seal Diamond Demerara 2002 taste?
Aggregated from 16 community reviews.
Fruity Demerara nose, thin salty palate A likable nose over a somewhat thin, salty palate — most call it fine but unremarkable, "living off the name and label" more than the liquid.

17.10.2015 Meeting up with friends at this waterfront hotel. Notes Light in colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, faint tar, fruity, cinnamon, raisin, faint caramel. Palate Light, wood, spice, light caramel, light roasted, light chocolate, faint salt, dried fruit. Finish Medium long, naturally sweet, wood, light caramel, raisin.

Sehr leckerer Rum. Alkohol erstklassig eingebunden.

This rum needs time in the glass. Only after quite a while does it develop its surprisingly fruity aromas. There are also notes of chocolate and cocoa. Somehow weak and thin on the palate. Not really bad, but not really good either. I can't finish the bottle...

Kein must have, aber doch okay.
Review by Johannes
Review by Serge
Thanks to Jarek for the sample. Hmmm ... yes, it's more about the name and the label than the content. Not bad, but nothing special either. I like it a little better on the nose than on the palate and a little time in the glass will do it good.
