Thinking about the price you get a good deal here. Very well rounded and intense rum. In order to release its full flavours you need to rest this rum for at least 15 minutes and I fond that it was best after 30 minutes. The oak is taking the front seat here without being too dominant.

A very nice surprise. Perfectly balanced nose between spicy, fruit, and wood. A bit peppery, a note of smoked cocoa. Balanced palate, indulgent. Still the candied fruit, the pepper, a caramelized touch, a bit of mocha. Very long finish for the strength, on wood and oak.

A somewhat dark Montebello but very interesting, wood, a bit dry, burnt sugar, dried fruits, a nice roundness, a pleasant length, it offers a nice moment without being a monster of complexity.
