The "22" on the label promises more than the glass delivers. The nose leans alcoholic — vanilla and vague fruit with a butter note a couple of tasters kept coming back to. On the palate it turns woody and smoky, with burnt-barrel and roast notes that read undefined rather than deep. Most owners here land on unremarkable; several say the younger versions actually taste better.

In der Nase ein alkoholischer Vanille/Frucht Mix - am Gaumen kommt rauchig/verbranntes Fass dazu. Gegenüber seinen jüngeren Brüdern, merkt man ihm schon das reifere Alter an. Trotzdem schmeckt mir der 15-jährige besser. Alles in allem aber ein solider Mittelklasse-Rum.

Puh - das ist nicht mein Ding. In der Nase habe ich hauptsächlich eine butterige Note, vll. etwas Holz dazu. Im Geschmack bleibt es butterig, mit holzigen und vor allem undefinierbaren Röst-Noten, ein Hauch von Rauch inbegriffen. So gesehen außergewöhnlich, aber eben nicht meins. So eine butterige Note hatte ich bisher - in weniger ausgeprägter Form - nur beim Berentzen Tres Paises, der zwar besser, aber jetzt auch kein Favorit von mir ist. Drinks: - Pur: 2/5
