Nine years old but tasting a decade past that — dark, dense and more Jamaican than St. Lucia, with glue, herbs and overripe tropical fruit up front. Honey and vanilla soften the nose; the palate turns spicy and woody with pepper, anise and dark chocolate. Several tasters clocked banana, pineapple and a menthol edge. Bottled at 55%, the alcohol sits well integrated.

wow!🤤🇱🇨 an der Nase ganz anders wie der vendome 6y. Honig, Kirsche, Karamellbonbon, Kakao, Gebäck, gefolgt von Mandarine, mango und vielen Holz und röst-noten, nach einiger Wartezeit kommt eine echt mentholige Note dazu. sehr intensiv und Spannend! geschmacklich dann direkt Vanille, Kakaonibs, Menthol, Minze und Banane mit Brombeere, dazu eine feine zitrussäure mit Ananas und Karamell und Kakao. im Abgang dann dunkle Schokolade, dezent Menthol, Piment, grüner Pfeffer und Vanille, sowie unreife Ananas mit einer leichten Bitterkeit an Grapefruitschale erinnernd. leider geil!

Nase deutlich weniger Fruchtig als der 6y. Hier in der Nase mehr Kräuterwürze Honig und Vanille leicht Blumige Süße .... toll . Geschmacklich auch hier Abstriche zur Nase Fruch fast nicht mehr vorhanden mehr trockene Holzigkeit etwas Vanille und Zimt . Nase wirklich Top aber Geschmacklich kann er nicht mithalten.

Schöne Farbe im Glas! Nase: zu Beginn stechend, rote Früchte, Würze. In Summe zurückhaltend, leicht. Gaumen: pfeffrig, schön ausgewogen Zwischen Frucht, Fass und Würze. Leider verdeckt die Pfeffernote viel. Nachklang: lang und würzig, viel Fass und nochmals Sauerkirschen Gefällt mir gut, aber mehr nicht.

Initially wood and glue on the nose, with a honey and fruit note. A very slight hint of citrus fruit. Then herbs, roasted, spicy and wood on the palate, very dark notes with some fruit. Dark chocolate.

I have been looking for the three Haromex bottlings for a long time, I like St Lucia and the reviews make me very curious. I have now tasted them and have to conclude: delicious, but there are now much better bottlings on the market in the Chairman's Reserve Masters Selection range.

Der zweite Haromex-Abfüllung heute Abend. Wieder ein breites Spektrum an vor allem Tropischen Früchten. Daneben wieder Holz, Kräuter und Gewürze, jedoch nicht so stark ausgeprägt wie bei der Vendome. Im Abgang mehr und mehr dunklere Aromen wie Schokolade und Piment.

#6147 28.12.2025 Last online tasting if the year with the guys. It's been a great year, probably one if the craziest one's ever 🥰 Met many new run friends both online and in person, travelled a lot Germany, Belgium, France and Sweden. Next year should be a bit more tranquil I hope, because I have a ton of samples 🙃 Nose Intense, light fruits, cinnamon, wood, light roasted, light orange, light chocolate, faint coffee, light peach. Palate Oily, wood, light roasted, cinnamon, light cherry, light anise, light chocolate, faint caramel. Finish long, wood, cinnamon, light medicinal, light cherry, faint coffee, light anise. Empty glass light coffee, pineapple, light medicinal, chocolate, clove, light nougat.

Ja 8,5 war auch direkt mein erster Eindruck. Sehr holzig (Eiche) in der Nase, auch Vanille lsst sich erkennen. Am Gaumen dann noch etwas komplexer, neben Holz und Eiche gibt es auch Pfeffer und Vanille zu erleben :)

A beautiful floral and fruity-spicy nose with a pleasant honey sweetness. Sweet and sour currant with pineapple mellowed with banana and cherry. Adds a dry vanilla wood note. Continues nicely on the palate. Full-bodied and really tasty. Slightly bitter yet also fruity and spicy. Perhaps sour cherry with blackberry. Vanilla with some tart nutmeg impact. Pleasantly woody.Also in the finish remains a nice intense spicy and somehow fruity green impression.Great drop!

Toller JonDore ! An der Nase weniger interessant und intensiv, aber am Gaumen geht es dann voll ab. Super PLV, Alkohol gut eingebunden. Ecken und Kanten. Der Abgang könnte etwas länger sein, aber man will ja nicht meckern :-)

Wow! Bananen, Ananas, Crème brûlée, ganz viele verschiedene Kräuter und eine Menge an Klebstoff sind in der Nase wahrzunehmen. Statt der Verwandtschaft zu den Bellevues ist eher eine Verwandtschaft zu Jamaika zu erkennen. Dieser Rum setzt sich von den beiden anderen Jahrgängen 1999 und 2002 ab. Kein Zuckerrohr und kaum Honig wahrzunehmen. Nach ca. einer Stunde Standzeit lassen sich ein paar Gemeinsamkeiten zum ’99 Batch feststellen. Am Gaumen dann ganz viel Kräuter, Anis und ganz leicht die Bananen-Ananas Kombination aus der Nase. Am Gaumen wirkt dieser Rum um einiges reifer als seine 9 Jahre. Blind hätte ich ihn wahrscheinlich als den ältesten Kandidaten im Crosstasting, oder auf Augenhöhe mit dem Blackadder 1999, eingestuft. Zudem kommt am Gaumen zur Jamaika-Assoziation von der Nase, ein kleiner Rockley-Schimmer dazu. Der trockene Abgang zeigt nochmal die ganze Vielfalt aus Nase und Gaumen: Kräuter, Früchte, Klebstoff, Anis und sogar etwas Medizin sind hier zu finden. Auch hier wieder ein wirklich toller Rum. 88 Punkte

Komplexes Aroma, erinnert an Jamaika Rums. Im Antritt süß, dann voluminös und dicht. Mittellanger Abgang nach überreifen tropischen Früchten, der länger als erwartet auf der Zunge verweilt. Wirkt deutlicher älter und reifer als er ist. Der damalige Preis war ein P/L Kracher.
