Haromex Secret Treasures The Selection Privée John Dore
Nine years old but tasting a decade past that — dark, dense and more Jamaican than St. Lucia, with glue, herbs and overripe tropical fruit up front. Honey and vanilla soften the nose; the palate turns spicy and woody with pepper, anise and dark chocolate. Several tasters clocked banana, pineapple and a menthol edge. Bottled at 55%, the alcohol sits well integrated.

- Complex spice and fruit
- But: Palate trails the nose

How does Haromex Secret Treasures The Selection Privée John Dore taste?
Aggregated from 36 community reviews.
Dark, spicy John Dore with Jamaican-style funk Widely liked for its maturity and complexity — one member called it "very dark and heavy - feels way older than it is." A few note the palate lags the nose, and newer Chairman's picks now compete.

A beautiful floral and fruity-spicy nose with a pleasant honey sweetness. Sweet and sour currant with pineapple mellowed with banana and cherry. Adds a dry vanilla wood note. Continues nicely on the palate. Full-bodied and really tasty. Slightly bitter yet also fruity and spicy. Perhaps sour cherry with blackberry. Vanilla with some tart nutmeg impact. Pleasantly woody. Also in the finish remains a nice intense spicy and somehow fruity green impression.Great drop!

wow!🤤🇱🇨an the nose quite different from the vendome 6y. Honey, cherry, butterscotch, cocoa, pastry, followed by tangerine, mango and lots of wood and roasted notes, after some waiting time comes a real menthol note to it. very intense and exciting!taste then directly vanilla, cocoa nibs, menthol, mint and banana with blackberry, plus a fine citrus acid with pineapple and caramel and cocoa.in the finish then dark chocolate, discreet menthol, pimento, pepper and vanilla with a slight bitterness reminiscent of grapefruit peel. unfortunately awesome!

Wow!

Franconian Tasting Gang Tasted again in comparison with other Chairman's. I still think it's very good, but unfortunately the profile doesn't quite grab me at the moment Thanks TheDunderHut for the sample on the 1st GAF. It's a very cool, tasty rum

Initially wood and glue on the nose, with a honey and fruit note. A very slight hint of citrus fruit. Then herbs, roasted, spicy and wood on the palate, very dark notes with some fruit. Dark chocolate.

I have been looking for the three Haromex bottlings for a long time, I like St Lucia and the reviews make me very curious. I have now tasted them and have to conclude: delicious, but there are now much better bottlings on the market in the Chairman's Reserve Masters Selection range.
