einfach nur eine absolute Granate. Mega lecker intensiv nach Kakao, Espresso, Brombeeren, Cassis, Akazienhonig und Baumharz und im Abgang etwas Grapefruitschale... für mich nach wie vor einer der besten Venezuela Rums auf dem Markt. Vor allem zu diesem UVP war das ein absolut fantastischer Rum.

Brilliant rum! Similar to the Venezuela rum from Asta Morris, but this one from RA has an additional resinous herbal note that accompanies the nose, mouth and finish. Complex and harmonious rum: roasted chocolate, blackberry, forest aromas and honey. Strong presence in the mouth, which should be tamed somewhat with the addition of water. The price for 0.5 l is also good, so a solid overall package.

Kein besonders guter Rum, aber auch kein besonders schlechter. Überwiegend röstig dank der Schokolade. Ansonsten haben wir noch Karamell, Holz und Würze, vor allem Vanille. Denke dies ist ein recht guter Sipper für Fortgeschrittene :)

An overall very coherent easy sipper. The storage in the cognac barrel comes in the nose, as well as in the taste definitely to the fore and that in my opinion positively.Together with the very pleasant oily sweetness it reminds me strongly of chocolates that are filled with cognac.The body, however, is rather medium to light and the alcohol is very present in taste. Rum from Venezuela. Bought the bottle sometime because the price was great. It’s been standing here way too long. And I have to say for that really a great product. Nose nicely fruity with lots of fruit (blackberry 😋), on the palate similar, a bit spicier and then some tannins in the finish. Overall just a very good rum. Anyone who hasn’t tried it yet should definitely catch up while not all bottles are emptied yet. 🙂

Solider Rum, schmeckt wie Weihnachtsgebäck. Kurzzeitig dachte meine Nase es wäre ein Gin, die Noten von Zitrusschalen, Wurzeln und harzigem Wacholder ergaben eine harmonische Kombination mit der Brombeere und dem Ingwer. Leider ist Lakritz überhaupt nicht mein Geschmack.

A very tasty, intense and complex rum, which unfortunately comes across a bit spicy. The many flavors fight with the dominant alcohol, which could be a little better integrated. Maybe here actually times a dilution helps something.

Sharp fruity spicy on the nose. The fruit is blackberry and cherry, but there's also something fresh towards mirabelle (similar to an Angostura). For the spice, I get red pepper with a hint of cardamom. A slightly dull sweetness, like beeswax. Very nice nose. I'm struggling with this one, and that's good. Not at all clear-cut. The alcohol bites a bit. Salty-bitter with a herbal spice. Slightly woody and quite dry. If fruit, then more from grapefruit peel. In this order, the rum describes a small, interesting taste curve on the palate. The bitter woody note remains. Not so bad at all.

Sehr leckerer Rum aus Venezuela, der in der Nase erst recht "unrund" daher kommt, irgendwas gefällt mir da nicht. Das verfliegt allerdings nach 10 - 15 Minuten und er wird phenolisch warm und mild. Das setzt sich dann am Gaumen fort, kräuterig mit dunklen Fruchtnoten, Schokolade und sauber eingebauter ABV - klasse!

Nez : caramel légèrement brûlé (façon belize), légère coco. On est en pleine foret, avec les mûres, le sapin. Assez sombre, puis une touche de colle et du chocolat. La bouche confirme qu on est bien en foret, sapin, sève, fruits rouges. Le caramel est toujours présent. Un côté salin egalement. La finale est moyennement longue. Alcool très bien intégré. Je suis positivement surpris.
