Limited to a mere 233 bottles this is another great Caroni. First off this one bites and if you want all the flavours you're going to need a few drops of water and then let it rest for 15-30 minutes. After that it really scores. The nose is very nice with a bourbon touch to it followed by a mix of vanilla, tar, wood, olive topped with flowery notes and cigars. The palate is well rounded, heavy and complex with mint and licorice followed by fruits and a tad of oak. Really nice rum indeed.

Ein Klasse Caroni. Habe nicht soo viel erwartet, da kontinental und Jahrgang 1998. Aber schön dreckig mit Fruchtnoten on top. Alkohol ist gut eingebunden

Very nice bottling of the 98 vintage. More in the dirty side. Yet komplex with fruits and dark chocolate.

Great, complex nose with a combination of dirty and fruity associations. On the palate spicy, dirty, creamy with a touch of salt. Excellent representative of the 1988 vintage!
