Nice tasting yesterday of rums I rarely meet in tastings. This one is lovely and fruity with spices and roasted wood to it. There is a light floral note that I like a lot. Price to quality is OK.

Appreciating the house's white rums enormously, I thought I'd discovered a "pearl" when I spent €250 on an aged rum! What a disappointment, it's not particularly flawed, but at this price, or even two or three times less, there's better (Depaz 2002 at €70).

More closed on the nose than the Soleil De Minuit and the Nuée Ardente. Taste-wise a bit sharper than the two despite the low alcohol content.

Tricentenaire – 43.9% Blend of 6 rums aged from 7 to 19 years, then refined for 17 months in French oak ex-Cognac casks. The signature bottle of the premium range, still as impressive. Nose more discreet than the Délivrande, palate more expressive, but it lacks a bit of complexity and madness for an agricole with so many years behind it.

A good rum but lacking a bit of complexity compared to my expectations (high ones :)) given this distillery. Very discreet nose, a bit gourmand. Quite frank attack, notes of oranges, a bit of bitterness from the zest. A roundness of vanilla and a hint of wood from the cask. Finish a bit short.
