6,6:The nose announces a thick, sweet rum. It's a sort of mix of candy and berries, like a birthday party with tagada strawberries and grenadine. The caramelized sugar also makes you feel as if you're standing next to a cotton candy stand. A surprising air of lavender and citrus would have us think we were in Provence. Candied pomelo peel and fruits such as dried papaya bring a little freshness, or at least lift the rum a little from its syrupy side.The red fruits are confirmed with aeration, with a creaminess reminiscent of strawberry-milk lollipops. This is definitely a rhum bonbon, a concentrated syrup with a roundness all of its own. 5,5:The attack on the palate is very soft, with the thickness of a syrup and the sweetness of a confection. However, the candy is quite spicy and even pungent, like well peppered ginger. It remains rather light on the surface, gliding over the palate. Fruit candies melt on the tongue. 5:The finish will leave its mark on the taste buds for quite a long time, however, just the sweetness, a bit of a ginger flavor..

Day 21 of my Christmas Calendar. Still find it very sweet yet fruity. --------- I got a batch of samples and time to rate them. In general A. H. Riise rums are sweet and this one is no exception. A very sweet and fruity rum with some vanilla and caramel. I usually use these rums to spice up my icecream 😊

First, the yellow fruit salad with distinct pear overwhelms the sweetness. On the palate, the peach plays with the pear and a bit of lollipop in butterscotch with a slight sharpness. Middle finger finish where after initial sharpness the sweetness remains.

My first A.H. Riise firstly tasted a while ago. To sweet for me, but enjoyable and funny. For me, it’s rather a tribute to the original founder Albert Heinrich Riise (a danish pharmacist who put Denmark on the rum map).

More dessert than classic rum. Peach, candied orange, and honey dominate, while real cask and rum character hardly come through. Those who like it very sweet and soft get an uncomplicated enjoyment. Those seeking depth, naturalness, and authenticity will rather find it liqueur-like and artificial.

This rum is very sweet and tastes somewhat artificial, reminds me a bit of Dr. Oetker Rum Aroma. Upon retesting, the artificial aroma was almost gone, which significantly improves the rum.

Best rum for drinking neat. For beginners who want to develop from rum liqueur/elixir to rum spirit drink. With just under 95 grams of sugar per liter, it’s on the threshold of rum liqueur. It’s something for everyone who wishes the EU limit of 20 grams/liter never existed. My personal recommendation for people who like it sweet.

Vanilla, caramel and tropical fruits paired with the typical Riise sweetness. A slightly pleasant sharpness in the finish rounds off the picture. Brand lovers will not be disappointed, I find it so-so but my wife loves it.

Very good rum, unfortunately sweetened, so a very sweet rum but therefore a rum for everyone, even for those who don't like rum. Playing with ice/water brings out amazing flavor notes, every sip is different and a new experience. In my opinion a very stable rum.

I'm not sure but this is probably my first controversial AH RIISE. I admit that at first nose I thought of a classic industrial, then came the sugar, the Tagada strawberry, the raspberry eau de vie... intriguing.. sweet, fairly short finish, but surely nice for beginners.

Too sweet, too artificial. Tastes like a lot of added sugar, but we know that from A.H. Riise. Had it again today in the sample set I received as a gift. Extremely sweet, unpleasantly artificial. I even had to reduce the score again (-5). Fortunately, others liked it, so I don't have to throw it away.

For me, this is borderline liqueur and something I wouldn’t distinguish from Spiced rums in a blind test. Smell: Rum candies, a pinch of herbs, cherries in syrup, lots of vanilla, banana marshmallows Taste: Very sweet, liqueur-like, candies, maraschino, syrup from canned peaches, a bit of rum aroma for baking, a pinch of herbs Finish: Dried fruits, stone fruits in syrup, lychee

A very floral nose: Rose petals. Peach as well. In the taste more sweet peach, and candied orange peel. In the finish there's also pineapple. I would have quite liked it it hadn't been so extremely sweet.

Finally a Riise that I like 😉 Color like pale gold. The smell of peach, orange and citrus. On the palate the fruity is dominant. Nice and mild. Finally not the typical Riise smell and taste. But still with a lot of sugar.

Another extremely sweet and artificial bottling from the house of A.H. Riise. Apparently, it doesn't suit my taste at all. Although it's not as extremely artificial and over the top as the Danish Navy, it's still pure sugar and extremely artificial notes of oranges that cover everything else. I will avoid this bottler in the future. In my opinion, this has nothing to do with rum. At best, a bad liqueur.

A very sweet rum. The alcohol is a bit sharp but not too bad. It tastes very sweet and I find it has little to no wood notes. The aromas are clearly there but rather artificial. However, it tastes relatively balanced. Might also be very tasty as a Jagertee substitute. But not what I expect from a rum.

What a weird thing. It is a terrible rum and a terrible liqueur. It isn't quite alcoholic and unspectacular. I really don't get this. If I want a rum it's not good. If I want a sweet treat it is too alcoholic, expensive too!
