Quite gentle, unobtrusive aroma of molasses, caramel, spices, chocolate, coffee and quite a burnt barrel. Much less astringent than the cognac version, but also too gentle, which I find a pity. On the palate again a combination of molasses, caramel, spices, soapiness and a bit of dried dates. In the finish mainly caramel, spices, chocolate and at the very end vanilla.
