CDI Ten Cane Trinidad 2008
"It doesn't always have to be Caroni," one member jokes — and this closed-distillery Trinidad backs him up. A cane-juice pot still that drinks almost like an agricole: rose and floral notes lead, then pineapple, apricot, dark chocolate, cold-brew coffee and roasted almond. Woody and dry, genuinely complex. The 43% reduction holds up, though the alcohol never fully knits together.

How does CDI Ten Cane Trinidad 2008 taste?
Aggregated from 15 community reviews.
Floral, complex cane-juice Trinidad, dry and woody A rare, floral-forward cane-juice Trinidad that fans find fascinating; the catch is a slightly disjointed alcohol and a bitter edge one taster couldn't get past.

This is my first ten cane. Very fruity(various dried fruits, pineapple) and spicy in the nose. In mouth this complex rum give you some delicious various notes of fruits, dark chocolate, leather, licorice, espresso, barrel, caramel, roasted almonds, a bit like a good brandy. This needs some time to fully open. The alcohol isn‘t integrated well. Wondering what‘s the outcoming would be if it’s barrel prouf🤔

Distillery of Trinidad closed... Too bad it is a super pure juice very complex on the floral aromas in particular.

This distillery set up by French people from LVMH in 2005 has unfortunately closed but this pure juice distilled in Charentais still brings very interesting empire notes with still a lot of floral freshness of the pure juice.

Exciting bottling from the closed Ten Cane distillery. On the nose quite a lot of floral notes (roses) and pineapple. Apricot also comes through after some time breathing. On the palate, the reduction does not tread too thinly. Also floral and fruity again. Nice complexity. Conclusion: it does not always have to be "Caroni". 😃🥃

Good spirit, but too bitter for me personally.
