CDI Ten Cane Trinidad 2008
One member called this a "very unusual Agricole Trinidad style," and that floral, off-beat character is the whole point here. Expect roses, mango and pineapple up front, then dark chocolate, cold-brew coffee, leather and roasted almonds. It's complex and dry, but a couple of tasters note the 43% alcohol isn't fully integrated and one found it edging into bitter. A juice-driven oddity from the closed Ten Cane distillery.
- Unusual floral notes
- Genuinely complex
- Chocolate and coffee

How does CDI Ten Cane Trinidad 2008 taste?
Aggregated from 15 community reviews.
Floral, complex cane-juice rum from Trinidad Most find it genuinely complex and unusually floral for Trinidad, with chocolate-and-coffee depth. The catch: the alcohol reads a touch raw, and one taster found it too bitter.

This is my first ten cane. Very fruity(various dried fruits, pineapple) and spicy in the nose. In mouth this complex rum give you some delicious various notes of fruits, dark chocolate, leather, licorice, espresso, barrel, caramel, roasted almonds, a bit like a good brandy. This needs some time to fully open. The alcohol isn‘t integrated well. Wondering what‘s the outcoming would be if it’s barrel prouf🤔

Distillery of Trinidad closed... Too bad it is a super pure juice very complex on the floral aromas in particular.

This distillery set up by French people from LVMH in 2005 has unfortunately closed but this pure juice distilled in Charentais still brings very interesting empire notes with still a lot of floral freshness of the pure juice.

Exciting bottling from the closed Ten Cane distillery. On the nose quite a lot of floral notes (roses) and pineapple. Apricot also comes through after some time breathing. On the palate, the reduction does not tread too thinly. Also floral and fruity again. Nice complexity. Conclusion: it does not always have to be "Caroni". 😃🥃

Good spirit, but too bitter for me personally.
