Geruch: Elegant, honigsüß und fruchtig. Bei den Fruchtaromen dominieren Orange und Mango. Zwischendurch ein Schwall Paraffin und Rauch. Dann wieder Nugat, Toffee und Tabak. Geschmack: Süß und sehr kräftig im Mund mit Honig und Tabak-Aromen. Würzig beim Schlucken mit viel Tabak, Toffee und Möbelpolitur. Saftiger und sehr fruchtiger Geschmack mit Aromen von tropischen Früchten, vor allem Mango, Passionsfrucht und süßem Kokos-Ananas-Mix. Dann rauchig und sehr würzig mit Ingwer und Pfeffer. Abgang: Esskastanien und ein Nachklang der Fruchtaromen. Mittellang, rauchig und leicht trocken.

The creole girls hold the promises of the french ladies. This rum deserves more points. Very warm and balanced on both nose and palate, one of the few rums I tasted that has a fruity finish. May be to smooth and rounded, it has a wide range of tastes and flavors, a subtle sweetness from nose to finish but all so well integrated that it might lack some character?

I so love New Grove. Its such a great style in between molasses rum and fresh/minty agricole rhum in taste. Lots of winterly spices and wood in the nose. Blue berry galore in the taste. A tasty red fruity feast in your mouth. Very good! People always praise Foursquare as one of the most stabile rum distillers but Grays is up there as well. Needs to be loved more. So good.

Ein schöner gefälliger Rum. Bei dem Preis/Leistung kann er schon ordentlich was. Danke an Gunnar für Reise durch Mauritius. Je länger er im Glas verweilt, desto gefäliger bzw. süffiger wird er. Getestet wurden verschiedene Abfüllungen aus Mauritius die im Set gesplitet wurden um uns einen Einblick in dieses Land zu verschaffen.

Very pleasant rum. Red fruits, but hardly the expected TDL mint. The rum is not challenging, drinks away like this, daily sipper. The really excellent integration of the alcohol should be emphasized. I bought it after carefully reading the reviews here and was not disappointed. A nice addition to my New Grove library.

Un nez vraiment charmeur, super fruité et très agréable. La bouche un petit peu en retrait mais ça reste super bon! Un bien beau flacon. J'ai découvert new grove sur cet essai et cela me donne bien envie d'en goûter d'autres.

Schöne holzige und fruchtige Aromen in der Nase, am Gaumen eine angenehme Würze und Süße. Sehr gelungener Rum von dem man auch recht lange im Nachgeschmack was hat. Es kann nicht schaden, hiervon ein Fläschchen im Regal stehen zu haben.

Rhum bien fruité avec un côté boisé toasté qui lui donne de la profondeur. Un petit piment vient rehausser le tout. Bonne bouteille.

Allein das Aroma in der Nase macht Lust diesen tollen Rum zu probieren. Sehr fruchtig. Orange und Mango mit etwas Rauch, Kaffee und Tabak. Leichte Süße, nicht zu aufdringlich.
