unfortunately not my cup of tea, very woody, metallic and sharp-edged and goes more in the direction of a very young brandy/cognac. too bad.

My first introduction to Agricole rum. A good if somewhat special introduction. This rum does have some metallic tones that may be a little annoying. Top in Ti Punch!!!!!!!

8,2:On the nose, sugarcane, herbaceous, flowery, minty, mineral, fresh with tea, wood notes like caramel, dark chocolate, spicy with anise, pepper, dried, citrus and red fruits, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, cognac barrel finish is even stronger, roasted nuts, hints of coffee arise, caramelized, some vanilla, the cane is earthy with cigar tobacco, grapefruit expression is obvious, metallic patina. 8:On the palate, the attack is typical agricole with flowery, grassy, herbaceous and mineral sugarcane, earthy, fresh with tea, cognac impact is noticable with various dried fruits like apricots, raisins, dryness, some citrus and yellow, green fruits, slightly sour, the wood is roasted with caramel, cocoa, nuts, slightly resinous, spicy with pepper, vanilla, there is some metallic patina. 7,6:The finish is quite short, dry&tannic, with notes from palate lingering on..

Solid agricole with a typical floral profile, but somewhat sharp and quite bitter/sour in the mouth. The chocolate and fruit notes are always present, as well as a certain tobacco/smoky aroma.

Great agricole where the floral notes don't push themselves forward. The age shows well with the oaky wood notes and fruits, the rum has a pleasant metallic bitterness and is very dry.
