It's okay, relatively roasty, but a rather poor Enmore. I've had many better ones for sure. It's very good, but not world-class. But this Enmore just had to be tried at some point.

05.03.2016 Finally back in Kolding again after some years at Messe C in Fredericia. Much easier to get home when it's within walking distance. Had my good friend from Singapore visit for a month and that ended up in a lot of tasting 😊 Notes. Nose: Intense, wood, roasted, leather, dried fruit, licorice. Palate: wood, roasted, dried fruit, spicy, licorice. Finish: very long, roasted, wood, spicy, chocolate, raisin, light herbs.

On the nose, it takes a while before you smell the Enmore marker. On the palate, these become more pronounced. The typical markers are there, but the rum feels a bit watered down. An old Enmore as an easy sipper.

Typisches Versailles-Profil, wenngleich der Gaumen deutlich klarer in diese Richtung ausschlägt als die Nase, an der die stiltypischen Bleistiftspähne noch etwas zurückhaltender sind. Am Gaumen dann aber eine von dieser mineralisch-holzigen Aromatik geprägte Struktur, die auch Zitrusfrüchte, dezente Gewürze und eine angenehme Restsüsse aufweist. Gefällt mir sehr gut, ein sehr zugänglicher Versailles.

Feels diluted, overall somewhat nondescript in flavor, alcoholic, little pencil notes, more bitterness and wood upfront. In my opinion, not a good representative of the 88er Enmore.

Not an most impressive Enmore, roasted nuts, wood, raisins, some pencil, bitterness but alcohol not successfully integrated unfortunately... and all flavours somehow did not came out fully.. should alcohol be less dominant it would get much higher score from me.. but only compare to top class Enmore representatives.. it is still good rum
