Für einen MG ausgesprochen vollmundig, fast schwer auf der Zunge, aber in einem sehr positiven Sinne. Eine schöne, fast "scotchige" Holz-Salz-Torf-Note mit gerade ausreichender Süße und hintergründiger, schwacher Frichtigkeit. Außergewöhnlich und richtig gut.

Completely contrary to expectations - very round nose with lots of fruit, honey, toffee and herbal notes. The whole is complemented by some chocolate and vanilla. A little smokier in the mouth, now with a lot of almond influence, but always herbal and fruity. The finish is also wonderful, delivering more chocolate in places, but also strong menthol and smoke. The 48% is within reason and offers intense aromas. Compared to the Andean Oak, the nose is a little weaker, but the mouth experience is better.

A nice rum from Mount gay, alcahol well integrated, for me a nice easy drinking strength. I am getting fruits, mention and a certain level of smokiness. Not every rum needs to be a cask strength bruiser! Quite a short finish.

An der Nase sehr medizinisch/metallisch, gelbe Früchte, etwas Honig, Gewürze, Holz, Diesel/Benzin und Karamell. Am Gaumen finden sich die Aromen wieder. Holt mich nicht so ganz ab, da mir diese metallischen/medizinischen Noten zu dominant sind.

Strangely at 48% it feels too light. Like a very watered down version of Chairmans Reserve Vendome still. Still good, but I think an ABV of 55% would have significantly lifted it.

A good rum, the bottle was fun to drink. Special flavor profile. The full body is good. It has a tingling acidity on the tongue, like a battery. I also like the cherry notes.

Very very strange distillate.... Yellow fruits, charcoal and slightly sour... I don't have to have it again... I wouldn't have expected this from mount gay. Overall disappointing for me, sorry.
