#7400 25.09.2026 - 28.09.2026 Attending the Whisky Live in Paris 2026 with a few good friends. We had a great time and it was nice to introduce them to this event which was a first for them. Quick notes while tasting. Sweet, fruis, fresh, spice, caramel, pastries.

Short trip to Reunion September 2024. Finally, the 3 series Rhum Arrange from Riviere du Mat. It starts with caramelized pineapple. And that's exactly how it comes across on the nose and palate. A little sweet, but still within reason. It's quite okay.

This industrial arranged rum will obviously give you the impression of tasting an artificial or even synthetic drink. But when you buy this type of bottle you are supposed to expect this kind of taste. It's sweet, you can smell a lot of pineapple on the nose and taste but very honestly if you like this fruit, it will be pleasant to drink very cold in summer... I find it a bit dishonest to give a very bad rating to this bottle using the same scale as one would use to rate a prestigious old rum... the expectations must not be the same! If you buy this, don't ask for more than what it is made for. It's nice, rather cheap and it will fulfill its role overall!

This pineapple arranged rum from the Rivière du Mât distillery, as its name indicates, is dominated by pineapple notes. On the nose, you are greeted by fresh Victoria pineapple. The palate and finish are also carried by sweet pineapple notes. In summary, it’s a quite respectable arranged rum.

Well, as the name suggests, there's not much you can say here apart from the word pineapple. It tastes a lot like pineapple and very sweet. A total sugar shock. It's okay as a liqueur but not the rum I like

Like the whole range, unfortunately this arranged rum is way too sweet. It needs several ice cubes and quite a bit of dilution to become drinkable. Synthetic and too sweet. A fail in my humble opinion.
