Coffee, dark sugar and toffee with roasted nuts and a woody backbone — a 12-year Colombian column-still rum from That Boutique-Y at a punchy 58.4%. Several tasters call it a well-balanced "Spaniard" with more depth than the style usually gives, plus a touch of solvent and menthol. It reads dry-ish, but the heat is real and noticeable.

Pleasant surprise. Not really strong in nosing. Pleasant strong Taste with hints of chocolate, Wood And spices. One of the last rums on the menu at bridge bar which i did not taste yet.

Even if it is "just" 0.5l...35euros for a bottle is cheap. And it's also 12y. Unsugared Nose: a not unpleasant coffee-ish sweetness. Dark sugar. Toffee. Wood. Pretty "Spanish" in profile but also honest. Taste: bitterness. Dark sugar. Hint of menthol. Cocao powder. A tad on the sweet side but not too much. Quite hot. So.. price quality a pretty good deal. An enjoyable Spaniard with more depth than most of the rums within this particular style.

It's a really good, unsweetened ron, which I like a lot. Add to that the price, and this is a bottle not to be missed by lovers of this type of rum.

Au nez du sucre brun, de la poire et un alcool bien présent. La bouche est relativement vive, sans que ce soit dérangeant. Toujours ce caramel accompagné cette fois de fruits exotique, d un beau boisé et une sorte de côté fumé. La finale est moyenne. Un bon rapport qualité prix.

Very nice reference for its very small price (36€/50cl), frankly great. Recommended by the Gargantua cellar in Paris I am pleasantly surprised by this Colombian rum which does not pay mine but which is super well made. Hats off! 💙🇨🇴
