Australia Advent Calendar 2025 (3). A very soft nose, almost cloying, quite weak. Overripe yellow fruits and a slight volatile note (light vinegar), vanilla wood. An interesting and spicy nose but relatively simple. The entry on the palate is relatively lively and alcoholic (apple brandy). The ripe yellow fruits and spices then rise, supported by the vanilla wood. The finish is short even though the vanilla wood lingers for a long time.

#5037 08.01.2025 Enjoying a few samples at home. Nose Light wood, light roasted, light tar, fruits, light anise, light berries, faint rubber, faint nutts. Palate Round, light wood, light berries, anise, light salt, faint apple, cinnamon, faint tar, light nutts, light chocolate. Finish Medium to long, wood, fruits, light apple, spice, light chocolate, faint salt. The empty glass has stronger Apple, light mint, light anise and light rubber.

Advent calendar Australia The Dunderhut door 3. The nose I found quite flat, some wood and vanilla as well as a slight sweetness were recognizable. On the palate then better, many herbs, some mint and chocolate on the finish.

Friendly rum, a bit of complexity, attack on spices (pepper, mace, cloves) and evolution on sweetness (caramel and yellow fruits), the whole is a bit buttery and fatty. Short-medium finish and sweetness of a light woody caramel.

Wow what a great rum. On the nose an exciting floral note that later becomes herbal and minty in the mouth. Generally very rich and exciting with many facets and the 48% ABV fits perfectly together. Delicious! Second try with the Dunderhut advent calendar. Impression definitely confirmed.

Dunderhut's Australia Advent Calendar #3 This is likely produced by Beenleigh, the profile is quite clear and unmistakeable with pear, grapefruit and some kind of gluey esters. The abv is really low even if alcool bite on the mouth is a bit too strong

Artur's Advent calendar Australia #3: Primarily wood and caramel from nose to finish. On the nose still some baked banana and dried fruits. On the palate less fruity, same on the finish. Tastes a bit diluted again.

A rather well-behaved rum with a nose driven by gourmand notes: vanilla and caramel at the top. A nice woody note too. A hint of fruit. On the palate, it's initially very spicy. The rum is oily. More fruit, notably pear, returns to the nose. The finish is woody and slightly bitter, citrus-like. Nice but not crazy. Great value for money nonetheless.

The smell is slightly sweet, with adhesive parts and wood, quite heavy and slightly dirty, very aromatic.The taste is spicy, oily, slightly fruity and woody, also somewhat alcoholic. A whole own delicious rum from Down Under.

From Artur's calendar... although the color is rather dark, it feels rather young, a bit rough, young barrel, apple cider / Calvados (?), caramel... on the palate somewhat watery and sharp-edged at the same time (especially in the finish). Doesn't convince me 100%.

A fresh floral-fruity scent pours into the nose. Currant and cherry, also something exotic tropical. And a slight almond note. Pleasantly sweet, slightly fruity. But by no means as fruity fresh as the nose. It goes ehr in the direction of spicy, caramelized, woody. The rum still gets a nice chamomile-black tea note.Pleases me well.

Interesting profile for Beenleigh. On the nose you get the usual apples and tea, this time with some pineapple and coconut gratings. It’s quite woody and lightly dirty, leaning towards petrol. Lovely scent. The taste is less eventful than the nose would suggest. It’s lightly spiced, but apples, pears and chamomile tea overwhelm the wood and petrol, and it turns quite flat as a result. Excellent entry-level sipper and you get good value for your money.

White by intensity, sweetness and elegance on the nose to capture the attention of the aficionado. Both thumbs up👍🏻 👍🏻 After initial fruit sweetness, grain gains the upper hand. Reminiscent of whiskey now. Then it gets spicier.Alcohol is great presence all the time and warms with irrepressible staying power, really unusual for 48%.Recommended purchase, although there is a slight drop in performance on the palate. Top rum.

Australia Advent calendar from Artur: Positive surprise. Pleasant mix of dried fruits, mango, peach, lemon peel and the typical intense spice and wood aroma. Thanks to an appealing sweetness of caramel and chocolate, the overall impression is pleasantly complex and not lacking balance. Nice release with fitting drinking strength.

A fairly robust and alcoholic nose. The body and taste is a bit more unusual, plum and spice with some sandalwood and quite an intense mouth. The finish is smooth and light with spice to the end and after. It’s not a bad rum and unusual enough to be interesting but too spicy and lacking in depth to be great. A left field four year old rum
