And we continue with the Cadenhead Green Label series. Unmistakably a Long Pond. Initially quite alcoholic in the mouth despite its low ABV. But if you give it a little time in the glass, it becomes a lot smoother and develops its true potential.

Color: Light straw Nose: Very little on the nose to begin with, with time light, fruity estery notes appear. Typical pineapple is easily recognizable. Palate: First impression... quite sour, lemony, astringent. Little fruit. Slightly spicy, rusty. Alcohol is well integrated. Conclusion: Solid Jamaican. Will be a blend. From which parts? No idea

17.06.2011 this was part of a trip our Shanghai group had arranged to visit the China Wall Reserve. We were lucky to access an area noally reserved for Chinese and it was gorgeous. Notes. Very light in colour. Nose: glue, polish, banana, light vanilla. Palate: light, polish, fruity, wood, sweet, dry. Finish: medium to long, wood, roasted, dry, fruity.

Unusually restrained Long Pond with only a subtle ester profile. On the nose, some ripe banana, vanilla, and wood, accompanied by mild spice. On the palate, soft and slightly sweet, with hints of fruit and a fine herbal note, but without the typical intensity of the distillery. The alcohol is noticeable but not disturbing. The finish is medium-length, slightly dry, and not very complex. Overall solid, but surprisingly tame for a Long Pond.
