30.08.2019 A nice evening with good friends and a few rums. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Round, light wood, fruity, banana, light roasted, faint floral, light leather. Palate Intense and warm, wood, fruity, light coconut, dried fruit, earthy, faint smoke. Finish Long and warm, wood, fruity, light chocolate, pineapple.

Foursquare is a distillery from Barbados producing amazing rums for everyday sipping. It's a rum especially appreciated by rum lovers who are fed up with sugar and looking for a smooth, sweet rum full of coconut, vanilla, chocolate and caramel. Simply pleasant and not aggressive flavors.

A gourmand and powerful rum. Extra nose with lots of fruit, woodiness, spices and lots of chocolate after opening. On the palate, slightly less fruit but still plenty of gourmand notes highlighted by pepper. Nice length on chocolate, caramel and pepper.

A strong coconut liquor! Bourbon charred oak so you can add vanillin, roasted pecans, roasted coffee beans, plus a few spices. The perception of alcool give a varnish/glue feeling and there is a little but very tender bitterness. Wood is winning in a medium finish, pity! Not the best Foursquare out there but not the worst either!

20/07/2025: tasted at 1st BYOB party with friends. Decent, tasty Foursquare but nothing I haven't tasted before. Typical flavours are there and a good one to start of the tasting. Don't need a full bottle though.

It drinks well, but it's not the Foursquare of the year. Not very complex, you can feel a bit of the alcohol. It's not unpleasant either. It goes down easy. But nothing really surprising.
